Passionate about helping you help yourself.
My approach to therapy emphasizes collaboration, with a focus on my client's unique background, needs and goals. This tailored approach borrows from various therapeutic frameworks involving an eclectic mix of strategies and interventions. Primarily, I utilize Dialectical Behavioural (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Emotionally Focused (EFT), Acceptance & Commitment (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), narrative, & solution-focused strategies with a trauma informed and strengths-based focus. During a session with me, my clients will have the opportunity to express themselves and feel understood, explore their thoughts, feelings, & behaviours, gain emotional awareness and new perspective, heal from past traumas, and develop and practice skills and coping techniques.
