Anxiety
The pit in your stomach is a familiar one, it's a constant overwhelming sensation that pangs when you replay scenes in your head, ruminating about the past and worrying about the future, stuck in a perpetual cycle of fear about nothing and everything all at once. Having anxiety can often feel like you do not have control and there is no way to avoid these feelings of distress, both physically and mentally, popping up at unexpected times, day or night.
Together we can assess the underlying causes of your anxiety, your thoughts and behaviours that contribute to these cycles, develop skills and coping strategies to both tolerate and regulate these emotions, and practice acceptance and self-compassion as we learn new ways of responding to anxiety inducing situations.
